Jacquelyn Brechtel Clarkson: Councilmember-At-Large

Jacquelyn Brechtel Clarkson was elected as Councilmember-at-Large in a special election on November 17, 2007 and currently serves as City Council Vice President. She has served the citizens of New Orleans for over sixteen years, in addition to her work as a legislator in the Louisiana House of Representatives. Clarkson is also a licensed Realtor and has been a strong and active member of numerous civic organizations including being a founding member of the National World War II Museum and Board Member to the University of New Orleans Board for Business and Higher Education.

Councilmember-at-Large Clarkson serves as Chair of the Special Arts and Culture and Women’s Committees, as Co-Chair of the Special Disaster and Recovery Committee, and as a Member of the Cable and Telecommunications, Criminal Justice, Public Works, Special Official Journal and New Orleans Register Ordinances, and Youth and Recreation Committees.
