Councilmember Gisleson Palmer and Councilmember Clarkson Co-Host Annual Algiers Bonfire & Holiday Concert On Saturday, December 4 |
December 4, 2010
What: District "C" Councilmember Kristin Gisleson Palmer and Council Vice President Jacquelyn Brechtel Clarkson, along with the Algiers Economic Development Foundation, the City of New Orleans and the New Orleans Fire Department, will co-host the annual Algiers Bonfire and Holiday Concert on Saturday, December 4 beginning at 5 p.m. and concluding with the lighting of the bonfire at 8:15 p.m.
The bonfire and concert will take place at The Cultural Village located at 200 Morgan Street on the Algiers levee adjacent to the Algiers Ferry terminal. Citizens are invited to celebrate this time honored family tradition along the banks of the Mississippi River, and are encouraged to shop and dine locally to support the Algiers merchants participating in the Holidays on the Point, a series of holiday events and activities taking place in Algiers.
