NEW ORLEANS - Citizen CPR Foundation's (CCPRF) CPR Saves Lives March will take place today, December 7, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hundreds of Emergency Cardiovascular Care Update (ECCU) participants will march from the Hyatt Regency New Orleans to City Hall, joined by more than 50 cardiac arrest survivors who were saved by CPR. They will bring attention to the hundreds of thousands who could survive sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) with more CPR, more automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and better care. Councilmember Jason Williams and EMS Medical Director Dr. Jeff Elder will be present to welcome marchers.
ECCU is a gathering dedicated to promoting the art and science of resuscitation and improving the survival rate from Sudden Cardiac Arrest. CCPRF is dedicated to saving more lives from SCA by increasing the number of lay responders trained in CPR and how to use AEDs.
